Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of professional tax preparation experience using specialized tax software.
- At least 125 tax returns prepared each tax season over the past three years.
- Proficient in preparing and filing comprehensive personal tax returns covering various topics, including employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135, foreign income, and all applicable credits/deductions.
- Possession of a current and active CRA RepID (representative identifier) to utilize the CRA Represent a Client service.
- Solid understanding of tax regulations and concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proficient with technology, including Windows, Mac, mobile platforms, and G-suite applications (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.).
- Flexible availability and scheduling.
- Strong customer service and experience orientation.
- Knowledge or experience in preparing Quebec Tax (TP1) returns is an asset.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, speaking) is a significant advantage.
- Experience in a contact center environment is considered beneficial.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide tax guidance for personal tax returns in a remote, seasonal, and customer-facing role.
- Collaborate with clients to prepare and/or review their tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance through expert guidance and tax preparation services.
- Research and resolve tax-related inquiries while communicating directly with clients to address specific tax or technical questions (both written and oral).
- Deliver a comprehensive service experience to prepare, review, and file client returns with the CRA, or assist clients with tax advice and guidance on necessary documentation as they prepare their own returns.
- Investigate tax regulations to provide precise advice on maximizing clients' tax returns.
- Create high-quality customer interactions that build confidence through deep empathy and your extensive tax knowledge and expertise.
- Proactively seek and deliver accurate answers for each client by utilizing government resources, professional references, and team expertise, translating complex information into accessible language for clients.
