We currently have an opening for a qualified Operations Team Leader. The Operations Team Leader coordinates the movement of packages via various transportation methods, including international import and export operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees daily operational activities to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to company policies, aiming to enhance profitability
Manages daily airport ramp operations, including the loading and unloading of cargo aircraft in compliance with internal regulations
Supervises warehouse sorting operations for international shipments
Leads back office personnel responsible for monitoring flights and ensuring effective communication within the network
Collaborates closely with Customs and clearance departments to ensure accurate shipment processing
Tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with business partners
Responsible for the development and execution of special projects
Ensures quality systems are implemented and upheld within the area of responsibility
Manages Key Performance Indicators and cost management
Assists in the preparation of annual budgets
Provides technical product support to team members
Informs staff of updates to company policies and objectives
Supervises a unionized workforce of 8-12 staff; responsible for recruitment, coaching, training, and development
Assigns tasks, sets deadlines, reviews performance, and manages staff in accordance with organizational policies
Establishes objectives and delivers results with a focus on short-term operations
Recommends process enhancements; identifies and develops solutions to challenges
Focused on maintaining consistent workflow and productivity, meeting service standards, and resolving operational issues
Assigns and reviews work
Utilizes MS Office products extensively in daily operations (particularly Excel and Outlook)
Provides guidance and training
Motivates self and others to exceed expectations and achieve exceptional results
Contributes to decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and other personnel matters

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications:

Comprehensive understanding and application of principles, theories, and concepts in the relevant business area
Advanced knowledge of specific work aspects and practical application to common challenges
Effectively utilizes fundamental concepts related to quality and productivity improvements, training, budgeting, and cost control
Generally understands basic supervisory methods for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary actions
Typically requires a BS/BA degree and 2 years of experience in a related field, including at least one year in a supervisory role
Professional certification may be required in certain areas
