ATA Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated full-time Administrative Law Hearing Officer to join our team within the Office of Appeals and Hearings. Below are the key details regarding this position:

Compensation: $28.00 per hour

Education/Experience Requirements: Candidates must possess qualifications as licensed or unlicensed attorneys, law students, paralegals, or have relevant adjudication experience.

Position Overview:

1. Facilitate administrative hearings related to TEA, SNAP, and Medicaid benefits, ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and agency protocols.

2. Make determinations on motions, objections, and requests presented during hearings.

3. Assess the credibility of witnesses and the validity of documentary evidence, establishing factual findings for each case.

4. Evaluate relevant statutory and case law to inform decisions.

5. Integrate the specific circumstances of each case with state and federal legal frameworks and agency policies to formulate a proposed written decision.

6. Review case documentation in preparation for hearings, ensuring accurate issue docketing, proper notice distribution, and the development of strategic questioning.
