Job Summary

This is a challenging role that requires a strong leader to oversee the production process and ensure the efficient operation of the assembly line. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of production workers, maintaining a safe working environment, and promoting a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements to meet production goals.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Interpret company policies and procedures to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and improve efficiency.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate time and production records.
  • Perform activities of workers supervised and evaluate their performance.
  • Directly supervise 3 to 12 employees in assembly and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to operate a computer and printer, as well as use small tools such as Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, pry bars, pliers, and calipers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and effectively present information to other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with regular exposure to risk of electrical shock and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually loud.
