Join our dynamic team at Calyx Containers, a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions, as we seek a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to drive new business opportunities and foster long-term relationships with our customers.
About the RoleAs an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to secure new business from strategic Tier 1 and 2 accounts. You will work closely with our internal teams, including Customer Success, Art, Product, and Operations, to ensure a seamless customer onboarding experience and entire customer journey.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and create plans to secure business from strategic Tier 1 and 2 accounts.
- Generate new qualified sales leads through proactive outreach and effectively align Calyx's offerings with customer needs.
- Meet or exceed targets by engaging and securing new business opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
- Serve as a trusted consultant and industry expert, delivering value across multiple functions within customer organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee a cohesive customer onboarding experience and entire customer journey.
- Oversee and predict the flow of deals through all stages of the sales funnel; provide regular updates and forecasts to sales leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, forecasts, and opportunities in HubSpot.
- Offer comprehensive solutions tailored to prospective customers' specific challenges within a dynamic industry.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory frameworks and market trends in child-resistant packaging and develop targeted messaging.
- Prepare Annual Account Plans and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with all key accounts.
- Capture and leverage customer feedback to drive new business opportunities.
- Continuously seek and recommend process enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
- Travel 25-50% to engage with Tier 1 & 2 accounts at least quarterly.
- Leverage existing relationships to assist when regular collections efforts are not successful.
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Accounting, Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in full-cycle B2B sales.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and strategic analysis skills.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth through new business development.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new business environments and priorities.
- Experience in packaging or cannabis sectors is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and at least one CRM platform.
