Job Description

**General Manager**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our store operations at General Index Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving store success and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Drive Sales and Revenue**: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, maximizing sales and profitability through effective management of inventory, pricing, and promotions.
  • **Manage Operating Costs**: Control and oversee operating costs through proper training of store associates, ensuring that expenses are minimized while maintaining high-quality customer service.
  • **Analyze and Improve Business Performance**: Analyze business trends, develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives, and continuously monitor and improve store performance.
  • **Lead and Develop a Team**: Supervise up to 20 associates, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management, to ensure that the team is motivated, skilled, and equipped to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • **Maintain Store Appearance and Security**: Ensure that the store appearance is clean, safe, and presentable, and maintain a favorable impression to customers, neighbors, and associates, while also ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • **Leadership Experience**: Five to seven years of related management experience and/or training preferred, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth, managing operating costs, and leading high-performing teams.
  • **Business Acumen**: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, and to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • **Communication and Presentation Skills**: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public, and to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization.
