Job Summary

Environmental Consultants (ECI) is seeking a Part-Time Traffic Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the public and workers by installing and maintaining work zones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install traffic control devices, including cones, signs, barricades, and other equipment, to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
  • Utilize Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFADs) and other specialized equipment to control traffic and maintain safe work zones.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and construction/utility personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Execute traffic control plans to local, state, and federal requirements, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations, performing routine checks and maintenance as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Familiarity with working in a team setting and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to work in a field environment, including walking up to 10 miles per day and operating a motor vehicle for prolonged periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with traffic control procedures and state or nationally recognized work zone certification.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and previous experience working outdoors.
  • Bi-lingual speaking (English and Spanish) and ability to verbally communicate with the public.
Working Environment
