Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to spearhead sourcing strategies for Direct Materials vendors, cultivate supplier relationships, implement cost-saving initiatives, and facilitate expediting processes to guarantee prompt delivery of direct materials. This role will also involve participation in New Product Introduction projects and collaboration with both internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee supplier management to ensure consistent supply.
  • Guarantee cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery while adhering to compliance standards.
  • Adhere to Global Procurement Policies.
  • Enhance working capital through optimization of payment terms.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and assist in vendor development.
  • Coordinate cost-saving initiatives and procurement tasks.
  • Manage supplier programs and conduct negotiations.
  • Assess annual supplier performance and contribute to cost reduction objectives.
  • Develop strategies to streamline the supplier base and meet targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Proficient negotiation skills and adept at information gathering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and project management capabilities.
  • Leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills and familiar with SAP.
  • Experience in managing fasteners and metal components is preferred.
