Role Responsibilities:

The Guest Experience Internship offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the planning, execution, and delivery of guest services at premier venues. Interns will engage in daily operations within the Guest Relations and Guest Experience teams, assist with various event responsibilities, and learn effective staff management and training techniques. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, with a keen interest in conflict resolution and event management. Availability for evening and weekend shifts is required.

Key Duties Include:
  • Support office tasks such as managing voicemails, coordinating special event celebrations, compiling guest feedback, and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist in training programs for part-time staff at the venue, including vendor partners.
  • Plan and execute employee appreciation events.
  • Facilitate team member recognition programs through effective communication and organization.
  • Shadow the Manager on Duty during events to gain practical experience.
  • Perform data entry related to staff procedures, including scheduling and feedback documentation.
  • Conduct research and prepare presentations on proposed initiatives to enhance guest experiences.
  • Participate in departmental and company meetings as required.
  • Work towards managing an event as the Guest Experience Manager on Duty, including pre-event preparations and post-event evaluations.
  • Conduct New Hire Onboarding Tours.
  • Assist with incoming calls to Guest Relations and main reception as needed.
  • Engage in required intern program events and training sessions.
  • Provide constructive feedback during departmental meetings.
  • Propose ideas for improving guest experiences and express interest in specific projects.
  • Assist with various tasks and projects from other department members as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
  • Standard office environment.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods during events in diverse weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working with large crowds.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 30 pounds.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum:
    1. High school diploma or GED.
    2. Must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred:
    1. 1+ years of relevant work experience.
    2. 1+ years of college/university education.
    3. 1+ years of customer service or event planning experience.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in work.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team objectives.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
Compensation:
  • $18.29/hour.
  • Maximum of 29 hours per week.
