\Job Summary
\The Program Mentor (Economic Mobility Coach) is responsible for providing essential in-person direct services to participants, utilizing a trauma-informed and trust-centered orientation coaching strategy. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex issues with sound reasoning.
\Duties and Responsibilities

- Provides comprehensive coaching services to participants, addressing goals related to upward economic mobility, including housing, budgeting, career and education, child care, health care, and more.\
- Develops and implements individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each participant, while monitoring and documenting progress.\
- Maintains a strong sense of emotional intelligence, reliability, and flexibility to navigate complex issues at any given time.\
- Communicates effectively to a wide array of audiences from participants to external stakeholders.\
- Adheres to contractual requirements and completes weekly accurate and timely service documentation; maintains data management records and assists with program reporting tracking elements.\
- Cooperates with participants to resolve challenges and makes referrals to EMPath specialists in areas where more intense support is needed.\
- Collaborates with internal and external resources to ensure referrals are made in a timely manner.\
- Fulfills all EMPath and Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) policies and procedures, including emergency preparedness, fitness of habitability, and others as required.\
- May occasionally accompany participants to offsite appointments.\

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree preferred.\
- 1-3 years of experience in case management, direct homeless services, or life skills coaching.\
- Bilingual in Haitian-Creole required.\
- Basic understanding of coaching, motivational interviewing, and mentoring practices and skills.\
- Basic knowledge of case management principles and community resources.\
- Cultural competency and ability to establish effective professional relationships with a diverse group of clients.\
- Knowledge of homelessness, housing subsidies, and other housing issues.\
- Strong mediation, crisis intervention, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills.\
- Ability to handle a variety of assignments and have flexibility to work some evenings if necessary.\
- Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.\
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.\

What We Offer
\This hourly role has an annualized salary range of $50,000 - $54,000, depending on experience.
