Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Parts and Distribution to join our team at United Engines. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive growth and efficiency in our parts operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Create and execute short- and long-term strategies to optimize parts operations across our distribution network.
  • Drive Customer Service Focus: Foster a customer-centric culture and continually improve processes to deliver exceptional service.
  • Identify and Implement Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for parts departments across branches to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
  • Measure and Improve Performance: Refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure department success and work with individual locations to drive performance.
  • Develop Employee Training Programs: Create a comprehensive training path for parts department employees to develop and retain talent.
  • Represent Parts Departments in Cross-Functional Initiatives: Partner with other departments, such as sales, purchasing, pricing, and service, to drive growth and improve operations.
  • Optimize Inventory and Freight Recovery: Work with the demand planning team to reduce slow-moving inventory and manage freight recovery to ensure costs are passed along and operating as an additional profit opportunity.
  • Develop and Maintain OEM Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with current and future original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure partnerships yield long-term success for both parties.
  • Ensure Compliance and Inventory Control: Ensure proper inventory control processes are in place and being performed correctly, and maintain compliance with internal and external audit procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Business Field: A degree in a relevant business field, such as business administration, supply chain management, or operations management.
  • Minimum 5-8 Years of Parts Distribution Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in parts distribution, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to Travel: Willingness to travel to multiple locations across the territory, up to 50% of the time.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to lead multiple optimization projects without direct supervision and connect with parts representatives to convert their needs into actionable initiatives.
