Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our team at Danforth Advisors. As a Senior Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work with high-growth, dynamic life science companies, providing strategic and operational support across corporate, clinical, and commercial functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including review, analysis, and processing of General Accounting transactions.
  • Prepare, record, post, and review journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and oversee purchasing and accounts payable files.
  • Support and manage the monthly close process, including General Ledger, account reconciliations, and payroll administration.
  • Contribute to audit preparation and provide oversight to other accounting staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Participate in other projects as deemed necessary by the client and work closely with all levels of staff and vendors within the client organization.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of accounting and finance experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, Assistant Controller, or Finance Manager.
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Intacct.
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
