ROLE OVERVIEW
Our Banking & Financial Services Consulting division is seeking a Consulting Manager to embark on this transformative journey.
We are in search of Consulting Managers who can excel within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Manager, Consulting (Senior Manager level), you will engage directly with clients, manage escalations, and oversee workstreams while maintaining domain expertise. Your contributions will include enhancing the sales process through RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategies, and ensuring impeccable delivery. Additionally, you will create service offerings and training materials for client partners, and support People Care initiatives, including recruitment and mentoring.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with clients to outline and implement product and transformation roadmaps.
- Lead large-scale network transformation initiatives focusing on:
- Platform modernization - including Auth Switch, Partner boarding platform, Disputes, Rewards and loyalty, and Clearing and Settlement.
- Product innovation and partner onboarding.
- Effectively manage project deliverables, risks, and challenges.
- Develop and document policies for managing digital content for clients.
- Apply in-depth subject matter expertise in internal banking policy-making.
- Demonstrate familiarity with intranet/internet technologies and relevant policy frameworks.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills to convey trends and data insights through verbal and visual means.
- Possess polished business writing skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client objectives and leading teams to achieve superior outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance practice capabilities and support service line development through industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience; additional certifications are preferred.
- 10+ years of business analysis experience in the banking/financial services sector, particularly in payment card networks.
- Proven experience in problem-solving and product development from inception.
- Expertise in core capabilities of major payment card networks, including:
- Network Authorization Switch
- Partner Onboarding (Issuers, Merchants, Acquirers, Wallets, and Fintechs)
- Disputes
- Billing & Pricing
- Network Clearing and Settlements
- Network offers and campaigns
- Strong understanding of payment network architecture, protocols (ISO 8583 and ISO 20022), security standards, and compliance (PCIDSS 4.0).
- Experience in launching innovative products within the network portfolio.
- IoT payments
- Digital currency payment acceptance
- SoftPoS acceptance
- BNPL
- A2A (QR payments) and Push to Card payments
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to payment networks.
