Job Summary

Community Options is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Amarillo, TX. As a LVN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals with disabilities in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to individuals with disabilities, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Train employees on medical needs and provide guidance on health-related matters.
  • Monitor health and medical conditions, referring individuals for medical services as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of program documentation and billable records.
  • Build relationships with community members, businesses, and families to support individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in nursing.
  • Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities.
  • Valid nursing license and valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages and exercise good judgment in crisis situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions

Work will take place in the administrative office, community, and in the homes of individuals with disabilities. May be exposed to changing weather conditions when working outside and may be required to lift or move 50+ pounds.
