Job Description

The Experiential Learning Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing and coordinating hands-on learning experiences for various learners at NY CREATES facilities. This includes internships, co-ops, and similar activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with NY CREATES staff, industry partners, and community partners to create opportunities that enhance participant learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, onboard, and coordinate experiential learners, including housing arrangements where necessary.
  • Coordinate experiential learner projects, interface with supervisors, and organize poster sessions or presentations.
  • Oversee experiential learner mentoring and program assessments.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program metrics, and participate in relevant external conferences, tradeshows, and workshops.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field supporting STEM-based workforce engagement from a US Department of Education-accredited institution or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational abilities, and demonstrated capacity to work with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience onboarding experiential learners for internships, co-ops, etc.
  • Experience interfacing with higher educational institutions and college-level students and faculty.
