Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Technician to oversee and manage our inventory of materials, tools, and supplies. This role is crucial in ensuring that our team has the necessary equipment and materials to complete projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Monitoring and Management
    • Track and manage inventory levels of materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
    • Perform regular audits and inspections of inventory to ensure accurate counts.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records in the system, including tracking usage and restocking needs.
    • Forecast inventory needs based on upcoming projects and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
    • Manage inventory storage and organization, ensuring all materials are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Ordering and Replenishment
    • Work with vendors to order supplies, materials, and tools as needed.
    • Ensure all orders are placed in a timely manner to avoid project delays due to material shortages.
    • Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure cost-effective sourcing of supplies.
  • Delivery of Supplies to Job Sites
    • Coordinate the delivery of tools and materials to job sites as needed, ensuring that supplies are available when required.
    • Load and unload materials and equipment for delivery.
    • Safely transport supplies to job sites using company vehicles, ensuring proper handling and timely delivery.
    • Communicate with job site supervisors to understand specific supply needs for each project.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance
    • Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
    • Coordinate repairs or replacement of damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
    • Track tool and equipment usage and returns, ensuring accountability.
  • Safety Compliance
    • Follow all safety protocols when handling and transporting materials and equipment.
    • Ensure that all hazardous materials are stored and transported according to safety regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software or systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of restoration or construction materials and tools is a plus.
