Job Summary

The Vice President of IT Infrastructure is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the agency's IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring the stability, security, scalability, and performance of all IT systems and networks. The VP of IT Infrastructure will lead the infrastructure team, manage large-scale projects, and drive innovation to support the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Infrastructure Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy that aligns with the agency's business objectives.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership to create and maintain a positive work environment and culture for the IT staff.
  3. Project Management: Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure projects, including data center operations, network architecture, server management, and cloud computing.
  4. Technology Evaluation and Recommendation: Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that enhance system performance, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  5. IT Governance and Risk Management: Provide leadership and oversight for proper internal IT controls to safeguard systems and data.
  6. Infrastructure Operations Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the IT infrastructure team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  7. Security and Compliance: Ensure that the IT infrastructure meets all relevant security standards and regulatory requirements.
  8. Vendor and Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet organizational priorities.
  9. Innovation and Technology Advancement: Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, and assess their potential impact on the organization's infrastructure.
Essential Competencies

  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and oversight for the IT infrastructure team, ensuring that goals and expectations are met.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and cybersecurity, as well as experience with digital transformation, cloud computing, and data analytics.
