Job Summary

Lakeland Behavioral Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Associate to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care Services: Under the direction of clinical or nursing leadership, you will provide personal care services to patients, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Ensure Patient Safety: You will demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer service, recognizing that patient safety is a top priority.
  • Document Clinical Information: You will document timely, accurate, and appropriate clinical information in patient medical records, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
  • Facilitate Patient Education: You will facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups, covering topics such as social skills, coping skills, anger management, and independent living skills, to promote patient empowerment and self-sufficiency.
  • Engage Patients in Activities: You will engage patients in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  • Complete Required Documentation: You will complete and maintain required documentation, assisting with follow-up and paperwork as required on incidents and events that may occur in the facility.
  • Transportation and Support: You may provide transportation for patients or coordinate transportation with appropriate staff members, ensuring seamless support and care.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification is required, with first aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
