Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role.

Employment Status:
Non-Exempt/Hourly

Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Offer recovery assistance to clients by sharing personal experiences.
- Support peer participants in crafting individualized self-directed recovery plans.
- Provide non-clinical support during pre-crisis or crisis situations, particularly following hospital stays or incarceration.
- Educate participants on various recovery pathways.
- Identify and facilitate connections to community resources that align with the goals and interests of peer participants.
- Adhere to HCBS peer support service delivery protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided in electronic health records.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and court hearings, and assist with benefit applications as necessary.
- Aid participants in transitioning from inpatient care to community settings as required.
- Share vital information regarding benefits, entitlements, and available support services.
- Conduct outreach to help participants engage with desired services.
- Connect participants with essential community resources and treatment services.
- Ensure documentation complies with OASAS standards and Hope House policies.
- Uphold client confidentiality in accordance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Word.
- Understanding of benefits and entitlements for individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with the recovery process for substance use disorders.

Experience:
Preferred experience in mental health or substance use fields.

Certification Requirement:
- Must be a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate.
