About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to lead our property operations team in delivering exceptional resident experiences. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of building maintenance, including preventative programs, repairs, and capital improvement projects.

Salary: $85,000-$90,000 (plus bonus opportunities)

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and set high standards for our maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for technicians and community care associates.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on resident service requests and maintain meticulous records.
  • Responsible for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, as well as make-ready and apartment turnover processes.
  • Pursue preventative maintenance programs to preserve building value.
  • Maintain the beauty and safety of our properties through general upkeep, snow removal, and grounds maintenance.
  • Adhere to applicable building, county, and safety codes/standards while ensuring an accident-free operation.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in facilities and/or residential building maintenance.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • HVAC, EPA, and/or NAPE certification.
  • Knowledge of risk management, OSHA, and MSDS.
  • Advanced level of skill in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
  • Basic carpentry, drywall, and painting skills.
  • Exposure to complex mechanical systems such as central plant, split systems, boilers, and chillers.
  • A safety mindset and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a sharp professional appearance.
