Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Community Director for our multifamily property operations department. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Community Director in day-to-day property operations and asset management to meet client objectives and expectations.

  • Property Supervision: Assist the Community Director with supervising on-site staff, including Resident Services Coordinators, Compliance Specialists, Leasing Managers, and Maintenance Technicians.
  • Client Relations: Carry out owner philosophies and wishes in daily operations to ensure FPI meets client objectives and expectations.
  • Revenue Management: Assist with maximizing revenue potential through lease expirations, timely turnovers, monthly rent collections, and delinquency management.

You will also be responsible for maintaining resident files, ensuring document integrity and confidentiality, and meeting reporting requirements. Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps, and property management software are essential for this role.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
  • Experience in affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD programs, USDA-Rural Development, and HCD.
  • A high school diploma or equivalency certificate; a college degree in a relatable field is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's driving standards.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
