**Job Summary**

The Licensed Master Social Worker 1 (LMSW) (Hourly) will serve as a vital member of a multidisciplinary treatment team within the New York State organization. As an admissions coordinator and counselor, the incumbent will be responsible for managing a small caseload and providing essential support to clients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct thorough interviews with clients to review medical and psychiatric history, and complete comprehensive assessments as part of treatment plan development.
  • Evaluate individual and family needs, strengths, and limitations to determine the most effective course of action.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate client and facility admissions documentation, adhering to applicable regulations and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Provide orientation to clients regarding the treatment facility's programs, activities, policies, and rules.
  • Record significant psychosocial events and changes in clinical condition.
  • Determine individual needs for referral to community-based services.
  • Act as a resource to team members regarding social adjustment, discharge service needs, and the effective utilization of community services.
  • May provide individual, group, and family counseling, as well as crisis intervention.
  • May provide clinical consultation and assistance to team members under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
  • Prepare reports and maintain all required records.

**Requirements:**

  • Possession of a license and current registration as a licensed master social worker in New York State.
  • Eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
