Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technician to join their team in Chandler, AZ. As a key member of our safety-conscious team, you will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with collecting, segregating, packing, and preparing hazardous waste for shipment in accordance with our company policies and procedures at client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a Safe Work Environment: Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act in a safe manner at all times.
- Packing and Labeling: Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications.
- Inspections and Compliance: Perform inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
- Waste Management: Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Sampling and Profiling: Sample and profile new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing.
- Physical Demands: Physically demanding position; must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Administrative Tasks: Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Experience: Hazardous waste experience a plus.
- License: Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
