Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee the foundational application architecture, infrastructure, and operations of our SaaS offerings, reporting directly to the Chief Technology & AI Officer. This position will concentrate on the front-end and API aspects of Curinos' application architecture, which supports our suite of solutions providing pricing analytics, benchmarking, and optimization decision support for our clients, utilizing cross-bank data assets.

The Senior Vice President of Engineering will be instrumental in defining and executing the technology strategy that supports our cross-product foundational elements and hybrid cloud infrastructure, collaborating with product partners and business stakeholders. This leader will guide a dynamic engineering team, foster technical innovation and best practices, and ensure the effective delivery of products and services.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic vision, technical proficiency, and leadership skills to facilitate the achievement of our growth targets and long-term technology aspirations. You should be inquisitive and well-versed in the latest technologies, particularly Agile Engineering and DevOps methodologies, and pragmatic in decision-making regarding their application. A passion for engineering efficiency, especially in streamlining production deployment and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs, is essential.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with product and business stakeholders to define and implement product delivery roadmaps, providing strategic insights on scalability and operational ease in a highly regulated environment.
  • Act as a key figure in proposing, assessing, or refining cross-product architectural decisions.
  • Encourage the adoption of best practices, metrics, and observability in agile software development, testing, deployment, and technical operations.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and resilience of our technology platforms.
  • Maintain clear documentation of critical architectural decisions and technology strategies.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance product functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Foster an environment that promotes creativity and innovation within the engineering team while ensuring a consistent and stable technology stack across products.

Operational Excellence:

  • Establish metrics and KPIs that foster a sense of ownership, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of each engineering unit.
  • Manage and optimize team structures to ensure the best allocation of resources.
  • Enhance processes, tools, and infrastructure to improve productivity and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish positive collaboration and effective communication with technology and product partners, business stakeholders, and all major functions of Curinos, including People, Finance, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and successful execution of key initiatives.

Compensation: Base Salary Range: $290,000 - $300,000 (plus bonus)

Desired Skills & Expertise:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering roles with increasing responsibilities and a proven leadership track record in a high-growth, technology-focused environment.
  • Experience in the Banking or FinTech sector with a solid understanding of financial systems and regulations.
  • Recent experience in delivering ongoing modernization while launching new products and functionalities in hybrid and cloud environments.
  • Strategic thinker capable of executing short-term and long-term goals, with the agility to adapt to business needs.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in full-stack SaaS application development, architecture, and infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, focusing on team development, engagement, and retention; proven ability to influence others towards data- and metrics-driven business objectives.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and a passion for innovation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of addressing audiences ranging from technical experts to business decision-makers; adept at building strong relationships across the organization.
