Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive Chief Engineering Officer to join our vibrant InsurTech organization. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our technological trajectory, collaborating closely with our engineering teams, and spearheading the growth of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a detailed technology strategy that aligns with our business objectives
  • Oversee and optimize the budget to support platform development
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate diverse engineering teams to enhance platform growth and innovation
  • Manage the complete software development lifecycle, ensuring our platform is scalable and adaptable
  • Work with executive leadership to convert business needs into technical solutions and growth avenues
  • Promote the adoption of best practices in software development to improve platform functionality
  • Guarantee the scalability, reliability, and security of our technological infrastructure as we expand
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering effectiveness and platform growth
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, assessing their potential to elevate our platform
  • Represent the technical vision and capabilities of the company to external partners and clients
  • Manage relationships with vendors to facilitate platform development and expansion
  • Collaborate with human resources to build engineering teams that can support our growing platform

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success in developing and scaling large-scale technology platforms
  • Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in software development and system architecture
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture
  • Proven ability to blend technical leadership with business insight and growth strategies
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making for platform enhancement
  • Strong communication abilities, capable of conveying platform vision and strategy to various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in scaling platforms within the insurance or financial technology sectors
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance in the fintech/InsurTech industry
  • History of successful product launches and platform scaling initiatives
  • Experience with modernizing legacy systems and driving digital transformation for platform growth
  • Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools for optimizing platform performance
