Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee the foundational application infrastructure and operations of our SaaS offerings, reporting directly to the Chief Technology & AI Officer. This role will concentrate on the front-end and API aspects of Curinos' application infrastructure, which supports our diverse suite of services that provide pricing analytics, benchmarking, and optimization decision support, leveraging cross-bank data assets.

The Senior Vice President of Engineering will be instrumental in shaping and executing the technological strategy that supports our cross-product foundational elements and hybrid cloud infrastructure, collaborating closely with product partners and business stakeholders. This individual will lead a dynamic engineering team, drive technical innovation and best practices, and ensure the effective delivery of products and services.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of strategic insight, technical proficiency, and leadership capabilities to help achieve our growth objectives and long-term technological vision. You should be inquisitive and well-versed in the latest technologies, particularly Agile Engineering and DevOps methodologies, and be pragmatic in decision-making regarding their application. A strong passion for engineering efficiency, especially in streamlining production deployment and reducing cloud infrastructure costs, is essential.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous enhancement.
  • Work closely with product and business stakeholders to define and implement product delivery roadmaps, providing strategic direction on ensuring our products are scalable and manageable in a highly regulated environment.
  • Serve as a key figure in proposing, assessing, or refining cross-product architectural choices.
  • Promote the adoption of best practices, metrics, and observability in agile software development, testing, deployment, and technical operations.

Compensation: Base Salary Range: $290,000 - $300,000 (plus bonus)

Desired Skills & Expertise:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering roles with increasing scope and scale, demonstrating a proven track record of leadership in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
  • Experience in the Banking or FinTech sector with an understanding of financial systems and regulations.
  • Recent experience in delivering ongoing modernization while introducing new products and functionalities in hybrid and cloud environments.
  • Strategic thinker capable of executing and delivering on both short-term and long-term objectives, with the agility to pivot as business needs dictate.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in full-stack SaaS application development, architecture, and infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, focusing on team development, engagement, and retention; proven ability to influence others towards data- and metrics-driven business goals.
