Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to oversee the foundational application infrastructure and operations of our SaaS offerings, reporting directly to the Chief Technology & AI Officer. This role will primarily concentrate on the front-end and API aspects of Curinos' application architecture, which supports our suite of solutions for pricing analytics, benchmarking, and optimization decision-making for our clients, leveraging cross-institution data assets.

The Senior Vice President of Engineering will be instrumental in defining and executing the technological strategy that supports our foundational components across products, while also managing cloud and hybrid infrastructures in collaboration with product partners and business stakeholders. This leader will guide a vibrant engineering team, foster technical innovation and best practices, and ensure the effective delivery of products and services.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a combination of strategic insight, technical proficiency, and leadership skills necessary to achieve our growth targets and long-term technological vision. A keen interest in the latest technologies, particularly Agile Engineering and DevOps methodologies, along with a pragmatic approach to decision-making regarding their application, is essential. A commitment to engineering efficiency, especially in streamlining production deployment and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs, is crucial.

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous enhancement.
  • Work closely with product and business stakeholders to define and implement product delivery roadmaps, providing strategic insights on scalability and operational maintenance in a highly regulated environment.
  • Serve as a key figure in proposing, assessing, or refining cross-product architectural strategies.
  • Encourage the adoption of best practices, metrics, and observability in agile software development, testing, deployment, and technical operations.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our technology platforms.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of significant architectural decisions and technology strategies.

Innovation & Technology:

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance product functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Create an environment that nurtures creativity and innovation within the engineering team while ensuring a stable and consistent technology stack across products.

Operational Excellence:

  • Establish metrics and KPIs that foster a sense of ownership and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of each engineering unit.
  • Manage and optimize team structures to guarantee the best allocation of resources.
  • Refine processes, tools, and infrastructure to boost productivity and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate positive collaboration and effective communication with technology and product partners, business stakeholders, and all major functions within Curinos, including People, Finance, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and successful execution of key initiatives.

Compensation: Competitive salary range with additional performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering roles with increasing responsibility and a proven track record of leadership in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Experience in the Banking or FinTech sector with a solid understanding of financial systems and regulations.
  • Recent experience in delivering ongoing modernization while launching new products and functionalities in hybrid and cloud settings.
  • Strategic thinker capable of executing short-term and long-term objectives, with the agility to adapt to business needs.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in full-stack SaaS application development, architecture, and infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, focusing on team development, engagement, and retention; proven ability to influence others towards data-driven business goals.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and a passion for innovation.
  • Exceptional communication skills adaptable to audiences ranging from technical experts to business decision-makers; capable of building strong relationships across the organization.
