Teaching Assistant Professor in Urban Studies

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant Professor in Urban Studies to join our faculty at the University of Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in urban redevelopment, housing, and urban research, as well as developing and teaching an advanced course in US housing & property.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geography, Urban Studies, or a related field, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement as an undergraduate instructor. They will also have evidence of successful undergraduate teaching experience, including the ability to teach courses in urban redevelopment, housing, and urban research.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong research focus on contemporary issues in housing and urban change, and who are able to develop courses in urban land development. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the University's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to work effectively with diverse undergraduate student audiences.

Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Geography, Urban Studies, or a related field

Desirable Qualifications:
- Research focus on contemporary issues in housing and urban change
