is looking for a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer to join our team in Bothell, WA. This role is crucial for proactively identifying opportunities to enhance system stability, availability, performance, and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include safeguarding the operational systems' stability and ensuring the integrity of the data they manage. You will coordinate support efforts with offshore teams and oversee the hardware device lab setup utilized for the build and deployment of Retail iOS applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the versioning of various sales applications within the Retail iOS ecosystem.
  • Utilizing MDM tools such as Mobile Iron for deploying applications in both NPE and Production environments.
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing changes and code deployments to the supported systems.
  • Analyzing the impact of operational issues and contributing to their resolution through data extraction and quantification.
  • Prioritizing and coordinating all escalated activities, including testing, project management, and the implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Assessing critical paths and assisting in the implementation of any business-required projects.
  • Providing 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis with fellow team members.
  • Engaging in complex troubleshooting, recovery, and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in emerging DevOps-centric automation tools and technologies for CI/CD, configuration management, etc., for both production and non-production environments.
  • Managing environment setups for native iOS applications, including serial number management.
  • Researching tools to enhance observability in iOS applications.
  • Delivering software solutions to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of T-Mobile's services.

Additionally, you will:

  • Create, manage, and utilize dashboards for continuous monitoring and health checks of applications and their underlying infrastructure, leveraging monitoring feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of software delivery processes and operations, including cloud enablement and the adoption of microservices with containerization.
  • Develop and configure applications using Docker containers on both Private and Public cloud platforms, orchestrating them within Kubernetes.
  • Execute zero-downtime deployments regularly.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Primary Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or its foreign equivalent, along with 3 years of relevant work experience.

Alternative Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or its foreign equivalent, accompanied by 5 years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills:
(1) Expertise in developing, deploying, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud infrastructures, with a focus on automated deployment CI/CDCT (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Testing) using Jenkins, GitLab, Python, Ruby, and shell scripting.
(2) Proficiency in monitoring systems for live metrics regarding performance and availability, utilizing tools such as AppDynamics for application monitoring and Splunk and Grafana for log tracing.
(3) Experience in migrating applications from on-premises to cloud infrastructure using Docker containers, orchestrating to Kubernetes for multiple microservices, and conducting security scan installations.
(4) Familiarity with Tokenization for securing handoff exchange tokens between consumer and producer applications, including API calls using Access, ID, and POP Tokens through ApiGee and OKTA platforms.
(5) Ability to create SIS Plans for production release deployments.

Washington Pay Range:
$182,312.00 to $187,312.00/year. This pay range represents the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. Actual pay will be determined based on various factors, including work location, qualifications, and experience.
