- Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
- Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts.
- Identify and communicate new product development and revisions to existing product lines to the marketing department.
- Develop and administer the budget for the sales team and evaluate performance to plan.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships within the marketplace.
- Engage in negotiations to develop new business and resolve critical problem situations affecting the sales program.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Five or more years of related experience, with at least five years in sales management with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier.
- Knowledge of Internet, Microsoft Office Suite software, and order processing systems.
- A current, valid state driver's license and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
- Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state.
