Job Title: Admin Asst / Cash Room Manager

At Restaurant Depot, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admin Asst / Cash Room Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Cash Room, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager to ensure smooth Cash Room operations
  • Maintain accurate records of Cash Room transactions, including safe counts, toll vouchers, and returned checks
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service
  • Ensure Cash Room and key box are locked at all times and money is kept secured
  • Maintain records of monetary transactions, including petty cash and IOUs
  • Review bank website daily to monitor bad checks and debits
  • Enter data into proprietary software, including returned check fees
  • Cash out cashiers at end of each shift and maintain records of discrepancies
  • Maintain employee break sheets
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years similar experience
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts and proportions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation
Work Environment:

This role requires sitting, standing, and walking for up to 4 hours without a break. The work environment is moderate, with industrial vehicles moving material throughout the warehouse.
