Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our team at Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our loan officers and ensuring a smooth flow of information, data, and documents within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist loan officers with general administrative duties, including answering telephones, assisting walk-in customers, and providing general program information to interested parties.
  • Complete loan processing duties, including preparing and submitting loan packages, requesting verifications, and updating information in Encompass.
  • Investigate inconsistencies and request letters of explanation and/or affidavits on information that requires additional explanation.
  • Request assignments of appraisers and appraisal reports, as well as surveys and tax services as needed.
  • Prepare and process loan packages for underwriting and closing, including Rehab Replacement and Neighborworks Rehab Loan packages.
  • Provide efficient and detailed notes on Salesforce and maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 2 or more years of experience in mortgage loan origination, processing, and closing, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Encompass, Salesforce, and Revver.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, or comparable word processing/data base programs.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, and the employee is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with some flexibility in hours allowed.

Travel

Occasional travel outside of the area related to training may be required of this position.
