Environmental Consultant

Rincon Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planner to join our team. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for conducting research, field work, impact analysis, and report preparation for CEQA/NEPA and related technical studies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage complex CEQA/NEPA documents for transportation projects
- Interface with clients and make public presentations to agency decision-making bodies
- Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance
- Contribute to business development functions, including proposal preparation and involvement in transportation-related planning/environmental organizations
- Demonstrate expertise in CEQA/NEPA and related technical areas
- Understand the environmental scope of projects and their impacts on various groups and agencies
- BS/BA degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of experience required
- Advanced degree preferred
- Experience in a private environmental consulting firm preferred
- Experience working with Metro, Caltrans, FTA, FHWA, and/or local transportation agencies preferred
- Demonstrated familiarity with NEPA, CEQA, and related federal and California environmental processes
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications
- Willingness to travel as projects require
