Environmental Planner

Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planner to join our team. As an Environmental Planner, you will play a key role in conducting research, field work, impact analysis, and report preparation for CEQA/NEPA and related technical studies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage complex CEQA/NEPA documents for transportation projects
- Interface with clients and make public presentations to agency decision-making bodies
- Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance
- Conduct business development functions, including proposal preparation and involvement in transportation-related planning/environmental organizations
- Demonstrate expertise in CEQA/NEPA and related technical areas
- BS/BA Degree in applicable field and 8+ years of increasingly responsible experience required
- Advanced Degree (Masters/PhD) preferred
- Experience in a private environmental consulting firm preferred
- Experience working with and/or for Metro, Caltrans, FTA, FHWA and/or local or a regional transportation/transit agency preferred
- Demonstrated familiarity with NEPA, CEQA, and related federal and California environmental processes
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent organization, schedule, and budget management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Willingness to travel as projects require
- Competitive salary range: $68,000-$104,000, plus benefits and bonus
