Job Description

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of facilities maintenance and operations at E V Bishoff Company. This includes leading a team of maintenance personnel, scheduling projects, and managing subcontractors to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Understand and perform routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Project Management: Manage various projects and workers on a continuous basis, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Scheduling: Schedule all projects utilizing both employees and subcontractor networks to meet deadlines.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage, maintain, and expand the subcontractor network, ensuring proper paperwork and timely completion of work.
  • Leadership: Provide on-site decision-making and team leadership, ensuring consistency, order, and quality in all aspects of facilities maintenance and operations.
  • Communication: Communicate with the office manager to schedule subcontractors and employees, and coordinate with internal team members, subcontractors, clients, and vendors.
  • Documentation: Maintain all job folders within designated file structures, and track project documentation on a tracking spreadsheet.
  • Travel: Travel is required, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proficient in the use of technology and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), SmartSheets, and HelloSign.
  • Skills: Aptitude for competent on-site decision-making and team leadership, understanding of routine maintenance tasks, ability to utilize software programs, organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.
