Responsibilities

The Lead Patient Account Registrar is tasked with ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate registration, optimal Point of Service collections, and exceptional customer service within their designated area. This role involves coordinating break schedules to ensure adequate coverage and assisting the Supervisor in managing patient volume fluctuations by requesting additional support during peak times and adjusting staff levels during quieter periods to meet productivity goals.

The Lead Registrar possesses comprehensive knowledge of all responsibilities within the department and serves as a resource for colleagues regarding policies and procedures. Under the guidance of the Supervisor, this individual takes the initiative to ensure compliance and completion of all daily departmental tasks. The Lead Registrar exemplifies outstanding customer service and professional conduct, fostering positive relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, and fellow employees.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2. In-depth knowledge of Patient Access is essential; Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification is preferred.
3. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary.
4. Proven leadership and management capabilities are required.
5. Exceptional attention to detail is crucial.
6. Effective written and verbal communication skills are important.
7. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively is needed.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
10. Ability to manage multiple demands and perform well under pressure is necessary.
