Job Description

The role of Federal Account Executive I plays a crucial role in expanding our client base, driving revenue growth, and fostering long-term relationships with government agencies and federal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal sector, including government contracts and procurement initiatives.
    • Develop and execute proactive growth strategies to expand the client base, leveraging industry trends and client needs.
    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry developments and client requirements.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing consultative guidance on security solutions that align with client objectives.
    • Collaborate with clients to understand their evolving security needs and challenges, and provide tailored solutions to address these needs.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets, working closely with internal teams to customize and deliver integrated security solutions.
    • Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in proposed solutions, and provide expert guidance to clients on security best practices.
  • Proposal Development:
    • Prepare and present compelling proposals that address client requirements, working closely with technical and operational teams to develop comprehensive solutions.
    • Conduct effective presentations to articulate the value proposition of Convergint Federal, and provide clear and concise information to clients.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts, providing regular reports on sales performance and key metrics to the management team.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in business development and sales, with a strong understanding of the federal contracting process and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue targets.
