Administrative Assistant to the Chancellor

Penn State University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to the Chancellor to support the Chancellor's office. This role will provide administrative support to the Chancellor, including calendar management, scheduling, and coordinating meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements. The successful candidate will also manage budget, prepare budget reports, and approve expenditures. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will serve as a liaison between the Chancellor and faculty, staff, students, and University leaders and offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Chancellor, including calendar management, scheduling, and coordinating meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.
- Manage budget, prepare budget reports, and approve expenditures.
- Serve as a liaison between the Chancellor and faculty, staff, students, and University leaders and offices.
- Support the Chancellor with strategic external community relationships and serve as the front face of the Chancellor's office.
- Coordinate events for selected special programs and visits of senior University officials and community leaders.
- Coordinate, plan, and attend Chancellor's Council and Advisory Board meetings and transcribe minutes.
- Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, and forms.
- Assist the Chancellor with the strategic direction of the campus, including data gathering and reporting, reports, and presentations.
- Operate and maintain a variety of office equipment.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and inventory and order office supplies for the Chancellor's office.
Requirements:
This role requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and FBI Criminal Background Check.
