As a Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our workplace is safe and healthy for all employees. This includes implementing policies and procedures to minimize workplace injuries and accidents, conducting employee training on safety standards, and reviewing and revising safety protocols as needed.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries and accidents
* Conduct employee training on safety standards
* Review and revise safety protocols as needed
* Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations
* Inspect safety equipment and recommend replacements
* Draft and implement internal safety standards and policies
* Review accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
* One year of related experience preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to conduct training and presentations
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

**Physical Requirements:**

* Ability to travel throughout facility to conduct safety inspections
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
