Batch Production Specialist

Tri-Pac, Inc., a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on liquid and aerosol filling for personal care and pharmaceutical sectors, is looking for a skilled Batch Production Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Position Summary:

The Batch Production Specialist is responsible for the precise mixing of raw materials to create finished bulk products and ensures the smooth operation of the packaging line by preparing batches in accordance with product specifications. This role involves pre-weighing ingredients as per guidelines and conducting minor laboratory tests, such as pH or chlorine content, while making necessary adjustments to batches and performing batch analyses. Additionally, the specialist will execute procedural clean-outs of tanks, equipment, fillers, and hoses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare batches following the formulations established by the laboratory.
  • Ensure cleanliness of tanks, pumps, and hoses before and after batching, adhering to GMP standards and SOPs.
  • Complete batch documentation and comply with GDP requirements for all facility records.
  • Execute job functions in accordance with the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols.
  • Actively participate in all validation and qualification processes at Tri-Pac.
  • Assist in delivering batches to production lines as necessary.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy batching area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly arranged.
  • Keep the chemical storage area clean and orderly.
  • Monitor and maintain an accurate inventory of chemicals.
  • Support quarterly inventory assessments of all plant materials.
  • Report any equipment issues to maintenance and the R&D director.
  • Enhance batching and GMP knowledge through ongoing training and technical literature.
  • Understand and operate tanks, pumps, and filling systems with a strong emphasis on safety and operational procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations concerning chemical storage and manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely to prevent injuries.
  • Contribute to the organization's success by embracing diverse and new requests.
  • Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrate a desire to deepen knowledge of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and GMP regulations.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Basic understanding of tanks, pumps, and filling systems.

Practical experience with flammable materials and grounding equipment.
