Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst for Manufacturing Operations is tasked with delivering comprehensive financial insights and analysis by gathering and interpreting key performance metrics. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in constructing financial models and providing analytical support to enhance operational efficiency across all Exide Technologies manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and disseminate detailed financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Execute data queries to extract and manipulate information necessary for various analyses and projects.
  • Compile and sustain actual financial expenditure reports.
  • Analyze, prepare, and present reports aimed at meeting financial objectives.
  • Offer financial guidance and strategic recommendations to senior management and the finance team.
  • Engage in the month-end closing activities and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support annual inventory audits as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement improvements.
  • Coordinate with Production Control to ensure the accuracy and currency of Bills of Materials (BOM). Regularly review and audit BOMs to align with current manufacturing practices.
  • Evaluate actual labor, material, and overhead costs against established standards and budgets, providing insights into variances.
  • Enhance productivity through the development of automated financial applications and information management.
  • Assist the plant controller in establishing and upholding internal controls related to operations and finance.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and fulfill additional requests from management as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field is essential.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Expertise in managing financial and operational requirements.
  • Strong grasp of business finance and analytical methodologies.
  • Proven ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear manner to non-financial stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with JDE, Hyperion Essbase, and Tableau is advantageous.
  • Manufacturing experience is a must.
  • Willingness to travel to various plant locations as needed.
