Senior Financial Analyst for Manufacturing Operations

The Senior Financial Analyst for Manufacturing Operations is tasked with delivering insightful financial analysis and generating financial data by compiling and interpreting key metrics. The ideal candidate will contribute to the formulation of financial models and provide analytical support to enhance performance across all Exide Technologies plant locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and disseminate comprehensive financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Execute data queries to extract and manipulate information as required for various projects and analyses.
- Prepare and oversee actual financial cost reports.
- Analyze and generate reports necessary to meet financial objectives.
- Offer financial guidance and recommendations to senior management and the finance team.
- Engage in the month-end closing process along with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist with annual physical inventory audits as required.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing business processes and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Coordinate with Production Control to ensure accuracy and currency of Bills of Materials (BOM). Review and audit BOMs to reflect the latest manufacturing practices.
- Examine actual labor, material, and overhead costs against standards and budgets. Investigate and clarify variances, reporting findings as necessary.
- Enhance productivity through the development of automated accounting applications and by aligning information requirements.
- Support the plant controller in establishing and upholding internal controls for operational and financial processes.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and respond to additional requests from management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing financial and operational requirements.
- Strong grasp of business finance and analytical methodologies.
- Proven ability to analyze and present complex data in a clear format to non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with JDE, Hyperion Essbase, and Tableau is advantageous.
- Manufacturing experience is essential.
- Willingness to travel to various plant locations as required.
