Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Specialist to join our Special Reactors department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing oversight of all project controls, ensuring that proper project management techniques are utilized in all projects.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience with INL/Department of Energy business systems, including Asset suite, Oracle, P6, IPS, BDSIS, and SPLASH BI. They will also have experience with Department of Defense projects and reactor demonstration projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the planning, documentation, execution, and reporting of projects.
  • Integrating and communicating with project teams and managers.
  • Working with project managers to ensure proper project management techniques are used to control schedule and budget baselines.
  • Reviewing inter-organizational agreements and subcontract packages for completeness and conformity to project requirements.
  • Ensuring proper project closeout activities are finalized, including final cost reports and project records closeout.
  • Developing teams to successfully complete projects.
  • Training and mentoring junior project controls staff and interns.
  • Evaluating contract performance and assisting project teams with outstanding commitments.
  • Preparing variance reports and presenting to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, or related field from an accredited institution and 9 years of experience, or Master's and 6 years of experience, or Doctorate and 4 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience with INL/Department of Energy business systems.
  • Experience with Department of Defense projects and reactor demonstration projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'Q' clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
