Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated MRF Baler Operator to support our operations. This role involves the packaging of materials for both domestic and international use, with a strong emphasis on quality control as the output reflects the efficiency of our processing methods. The operator will manage the compaction pressures to maximize payloads for transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail while operating equipment.
  • Understand the flow of materials designated for compaction.
  • Monitor the quality of products during the baling process.
  • Remove excess debris from the baler to ensure a safe and functional workspace.
  • Document the quantity of bales produced by grade for inventory management.
  • Utilize computer systems for equipment operation.
  • Adhere to specific safety protocols related to the job.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to differentiate between various types of materials.
  • Effective communication skills with forklift operators, mechanics, and control room personnel.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively in a team environment while prioritizing safety.
  • Comprehension of the baler's limitations and capabilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) training.
  • Forklift certification for moving bales from the output.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English and/or Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods at the HMI.
  • Occasional walking throughout the workday.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Work Environment:

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The role requires adaptability to frequent changes in equipment, start and end times, and operational needs.
