Position Summary:

We are in search of a skilled and dedicated MRF Baler Operator to provide essential support across our facilities. This role focuses on the packaging of products intended for both domestic and international markets. Quality assurance is paramount, as the output reflects the effectiveness of our processing operations. The operator will manage the pressures for compacted products to maximize freight payloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail during equipment operation.
  • Understand and manage the flow of materials for compaction.
  • Monitor the quality of products throughout the baling process.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by clearing excess debris from the baler.
  • Document bales produced by grade for inventory management.
  • Utilize computer systems for equipment operation.
  • Adhere to specific safety protocols related to the job.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to differentiate between various types of materials.
  • Effective communication skills with forklift operators, mechanics, and control room staff.
  • Team-oriented mindset to ensure workplace safety.
  • Comprehension of the baler's limitations and capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in general computer skills.
  • Completion of LOTO training.
  • Forklift certification for moving bales from the output.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English and/or Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of standing at the HMI.
  • Frequent walking throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Work Environment:

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Flexibility is required to adapt to frequent changes in equipment, start/end times, service locations, and routes based on operational demands.
