Job Summary

KLJ is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Oil and Gas Division. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and machinery used in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Analysis: Design and analyze mechanical systems and equipment for oil and gas extraction and processing.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines.
  • Collaboration and Optimization: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize the performance of mechanical systems.
  • Risk Assessment and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, maintenance manuals, and project reports.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance during project planning and execution phases.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay abreast of technological advancements and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Research and Development: Research, design, concept development, planning, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimal integration of automatic temperature control, air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems, equipment, and processes.
  • Project Management: Project management experience with small to mid-level projects, including tracking hours and expenses for project work.
  • Health and Safety Planning: Prepare and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with regulatory requirements pertaining to data integrity, documentation, procedures, training, monitoring systems, and record compliance and retention.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
  • Professional Development: Remain current in the latest mechanical engineering techniques and practices.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience.
  • License: Professional Engineering License required.
  • Skills: Proficient knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues.
  • Soft Skills: Effective interpersonal and communication skills, highly capable self-leadership, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
