Position Overview:

The BAG Manufacturing Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining safe and efficient operations at the Air Separation Plant. This position requires collaboration within a team where individuals are encouraged to prioritize tasks and manage various responsibilities with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and adhere to all relevant Government and Linde Environmental Permits, Regulations, and Policies.
  • Participate in a full-time capacity at the Air Separation Plant, operating on a 10-hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends as necessary.
  • Implement safe work permit processes and ensure effective hazard recognition for all personnel involved.
  • Lead Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures within the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and policies.
  • Monitor Production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strive to meet established goals.
  • Conduct water tests on cooling towers and boilers, making necessary adjustments to maintain control.
  • Understand theoretical process aspects and adjust controls to achieve desired operational metrics.
  • Utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to maintain compliance in areas covered by Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and control loop logic.
  • Recognize process loop interactions and their impact on basic air separation principles.
  • Familiarity with switchgear relay flags and the functionality of rack in-out breakers.
  • Safely maneuver tractor-trailers within the plant premises.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new personnel.
  • Ensure that customer quality standards are consistently met across all products.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), alerts, and technical bulletins.
  • Address fill zone and backup system issues as required.
  • Understand the operational parameters for analyzers, including reference and product gas flows.
  • Review Quality Assurance logs for discrepancies.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance testing and manage the unloading of Argon Railcars into storage tanks.
  • Perform inspections on railcars.
  • Complete all required training modules and on-the-job training within designated timelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • An Associate's degree in applied sciences or equivalent production experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient computer and technical skills are essential.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
