Position Overview:

The BAG Production Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining safe and efficient operations at the Air Separation Plant. This position requires collaboration within a team where individuals are encouraged to prioritize tasks and engage in various activities with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and adhere to all relevant Government and Linde Environmental Permits, Regulations, and Policies.
  • Participate in a full-time role at the Air Separation Plant, which operates on a 10-hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends.
  • Implement safe work permit processes and ensure effective hazard recognition for all personnel.
  • Lead Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures within the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct water tests on cooling towers and boilers, making necessary adjustments to maintain control.
  • Understand theoretical process aspects and adjust controls to achieve desired operational parameters.
  • Utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Maintenance program to ensure compliance with maintenance requirements.
  • Interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and control loop logic.
  • Recognize process loop interactions and their impact on air separation principles.
  • Safely maneuver Tractor-Trailers within the plant premises.
  • Assist in training and developing new personnel.
  • Meet customer quality standards for all products and maintain the Quality Program.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), alerts, and Technical Bulletins.
  • Address fill zone and backup system issues as required.
  • Understand analyzer operational parameters.
  • Review Quality Assurance logs for discrepancies.
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing and manage the unloading of Argon Railcars into storage.
  • Conduct inspections of Railcars.
  • Complete all training modules and on-the-job training within designated timelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • An Associate Degree in Applied Sciences or equivalent production experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in relevant computer and technical skills.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend work as necessary.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting 50 pounds, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment.
