The role of a Metal Finishing Technician (also referred to as Surface Preparation Specialist or Coating Operations Technician) involves the meticulous cleaning, preparation, and arrangement of components for powder coating on various metal items. Responsibilities include transferring coated items into curing ovens, managing powder color supplies, and ensuring adherence to production timelines. This position may also provide opportunities to assist in the mixing and application of powders according to manufacturer guidelines.
Compensation and Work Environment- Attractive hourly compensation ranging from $17 to $19, contingent on skills and experience.
- Work schedule includes shift 2, from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM.
- Engage in a vibrant production coating atmosphere.
- A high school diploma is mandatory, with additional coursework in painting disciplines being advantageous.
- Previous experience in powder coating is preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to pass annual pulmonary evaluations and be comfortable working in elevated temperatures and humid conditions while utilizing protective equipment.
