Job SummaryThe Licensed Psychiatric Technician will work under the direction of the director of nursing or medical director to provide basic nursing care to our clients. This includes administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing basic hygiene care. You will also teach clients and their families about health issues, medications, and side effects.
Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing basic hygiene care.
- Teach clients and their families about health issues, medications, and side effects.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and report any adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Utilize good infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary health conferences and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Administer annual TB testing and flu shots, and provide other vaccinations as needed.
- Perform blood draws and give injections as required.
- Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician certification.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- California driver's license and current vehicle insurance/registration (if driving).
- Reliable means of transportation capable of passing a vehicle safety inspection.
This is a full-time swing position, working Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and must be able to work effectively under stress and conflict.
We offer a competitive hourly rate, with additional 4% NOC shift differential pay. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care to our clients, we encourage you to apply.
